Meaganlark

Meaganlark has been a sonic artist from the very beginning; from the moment her mother found her as an infant under the cutting board bopping up and down to the beat of grating carrots.

Music is in her soul; and as it seems, always in the kitchen… ;)

The first instrument she learned to play was violin. She was only 7. At age 10, she picked up the piano while singing in choirs. A few years later she started playing guitar, and soon began learning her mom’s favorite 60’s folk songs.

She ran away with the circus when she was 21 to be a dancer, only to wind up a costumer for men's wardrobe. She traveled all over the Americas, living in a 5 by 7 ft. room, dancing with the Bulgarian acrobats, and fighting with the dwarves! She would reminisce with the clowns about their homes in far away countries as they rode through the thick melancholic air on the evening train.

She found her heart in New Orleans, but after 4 years of soul searching she decided to get back to the music again in Los Angeles.

Meaganlark has been composing her own pieces for the last 16 years. She is an accomplished, self taught musician with minimal formal training. As a vocalist, she has worked with Director Russell DeGrazier, David Palmer, Chuck Kentis, Andy Dick, John X Volaitis, and Danny Saber.

She also trained in dance for 7 years, and was a Dame for ‘The Toledo Show’ in Los Angeles

She continues to reside in the Los Angeles area, and is recording a CD of her own compositions.
